Open Access Policy

Journal of Agriculture and Rural Development Studies (JARDS) is a fully open-access journal. All articles are freely accessible to users worldwide, without any subscription charges or access fees. Authors and readers can access, read, download, and share the full text of all published articles in PDF format immediately upon publication.

The journal’s open access policy adheres to the principles outlined in:

• the Budapest Open Access Initiative (2002), and

• the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities (2003).

According to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), open access means:

“Free availability on the public internet, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.”

All articles published in JARDS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly cited.

Authors retain the copyright to their works and grant the journal the right of first publication.
